Ezy-Lifter is the vision of a self-employed property developer who saw the need for a more ergonomic and cost-effective way to restore timber floorboards and decking.
About the director
Marc Pafumi is a self employed entrepreneur and small business owner, based in Brisbane, Australia. With a strong background in retail and more recently (8 years) property renovating and investing, he has spent the last 12 months working on the Ezy-Lifter product and bringing it to market, whilst maintaining an interest in property construction and development.
Marc explains how the Ezy-Lifter came about...
"While doing a renovation on a Queenslander, I needed to completely demolish a very small back deck to replace with a larger family size deck. Whilst thinking about the task ahead I met with a retired demolition worker who had a home made but rather crude, heavy and awkward tool which he called a board puller. He said it would save me some time pulling up the decking boards.
That was approximately three years ago. Since then, after making my own design changes by working with it on numerous renovation project, and employing an Industrial Designer to have a look at it, the Ezy- lifter concept was conceived and a working prototype was born."

Feedback on the product
Since appearing with the tool on ABC’s 'The New Inventors' TV show, we have received many emails from both the industry and general public wanting to buy the product. The general feedback from people who have used it has been extremely positive. "Wow, it works really well!" is a typical comment.
